EYFS - Nursery

All children within our local catchment area are entitled to Nursery Education at Barnard Grove from the term after they turn 3 (if spaces are available).

Our flexible, wraparound care means sessions begin at 8:30 - 9:00am and ends at 2:30 - 3:30pm.

 

Children are offered 15 hours of Nursery provision; this can be five morning sessions (8:30/9:00 am until 11:30am), five afternoon sessions (12:30pm until 2:30pm) or 2 and a half days at either the beginning or end of the week.

 

There are opportunities to pay for additional hours for a small fee of £3.70 a week and, we also have a Nursery accessible breakfast club and can offer lunch facilities.

 

We take children into Nursery twice a year in September and January. Before these intake dates we offer

'Little Diggers' - an introduction to the Nursery for our new starters.

 

Our Nursery sessions begin with registration in the EYFS unit before a 20 minute

Read, Write, Inc/phonics children then play until snack time which takes the form of circle time and learning. Following snack time all children are able to access both indoor and outdoor playtime until we stop for number work, circle time and topic based activities.
